Hello I am Shannon,
What led me to become a therapist wasn’t just professional curiosity, it was personal. I grew up in a household shaped by domestic violence and addiction, and from an early age I was on a path of learning how to survive, understand, and eventually heal. That journey planted the seeds for a lifelong interest in self-development, compassion, and understanding the complexities of human behaviour.
Later in life, I found success in the entertainment and dance industry, but eventually experienced deep burnout. At the heart of that burnout was a disconnection from my own authenticity. I had built a life that looked successful on the outside, but inside, I had lost touch with myself. That realisation was a turning point. I stepped back to reassess what truly mattered—my health, boundaries, and truth.
Even then, I was drawn to mental health, weaving emotional support and psychological awareness into my work with dancers and students. I began to see clearly how healing isn’t about fixing something that’s broken, it’s about reconnecting with who we truly are, with curiosity and compassion.
A key part of that reconnection, for me, has always been the body. I learned firsthand how deeply profound and important our relationship with the body is. I truly believe that my connection to movement and dance is what saved me, it gave me a safe, embodied way to move through trauma, regulate my nervous system, and stay connected to myself. That’s why I chose to specialise in somatic therapy: because I understand the transformative power of embodiment and how the body holds the truth of our experiences.
Healing, to me, is about coming home to yourself and the body is where that home lives.
My approach to holistic healing
As a psychotherapist with a passion for trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, and holistic mental health, I believe that healing begins with reconnecting to your whole self. I recognise the deep connection between mind and body, and how they influence each other in powerful ways.
My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and client-focused. I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to meet your unique needs, including:
Somatic Psychotherapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Parts Work
Trauma Work and Nervous System Healing
Emotional Regulation Coaching
Mindfulness and Movement-Based Therapies
I don’t just focus on thoughts or symptoms. I work with the whole person, including how stress, trauma, relationships, and lifestyle shape your emotional and physical well-being. My practice is inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive, and I offer therapy that feels safe and deeply personalised.
This work isn’t just about managing symptoms. It’s about reclaiming your balance, building emotional resilience, and creating meaningful change across every area of your life. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, identity challenges, or life transitions, I’m here to support your healing with warmth, compassion, and care.
If you’re ready to begin your journey, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out
My Unique Therapy Model:
The Care Container
Why I Don't Work Hour-by-Hour Anymore
Over my years working with somatic psychotherapy and nervous system regulation, I have come to realise that even though the deepest shifts happen within our 60 minutes together in a session, the real challenge is during the week, when you are in the real world trying to apply a grounding tool, process an emotional wave, or stabilise your system.
When you are navigating deep emotional overwhelm, chronic stress, or long-standing trauma responses, your nervous system is operating in survival mode. Real, lasting shift doesn’t happen in a single, isolated hour of therapy every now and then.
Safety requires consistency. True transformation needs a steady, predictable rhythm so your body can actually let its guard down, integrate the tools, and begin to heal.
Because of this, I have stepped away from the traditional, ad-hoc session model and created my own unique model. I work with my ongoing clients inside dedicated Care Containers. This means you aren’t just booking a casual appointment; you are investing in a structured, supported, and sustainable pathway toward long-term nervous system regulation, trauma recovery, stress management & long lasting neuroplastic & emotional change.
Healing happens out in the real world, not just on the therapy couch. This structure ensures you are fully supported in the messy spaces between our sessions:
What a Care Container Looks Like
-
Your recurring weekly or fortnightly session time is completely locked into my calendar. No rushing to book online slots, no lost momentum.
-
You gain access to my private app for daily somatic exercises, psychoeducation, movement videos, meditation, breathwork and nervous system resources.
-
When life spikes outside the clinic room, you have direct integration support via message or voice note via WhatsApp so we can track and regulate the pattern right then and there.
-
Your container is managed via a seamless, automated weekly subscription plan. No awkward transactions at the end of a deep emotional session—just clean boundaries and a predictable budget
How We Begin
We build the relationship first. We don't jump straight into the container, we ensure absolute alignment.
1. The Initial Consultation
Every journey starts with a one-off initial session (available to book online in-person or via Telehealth. We will slow down, map out your unique nervous system blueprint, get to know each other, understand your baseline and see if working together feels aligned.
2. Crafting Your Structure
At the end of our first session, if we are a great clinical fit, I will honestly assess your system’s needs and recommend the matching container structure for your system's needs:
The Integration Container ($105/week): For steady, sustainable lifestyle pacing. Includes fortnightly 60-minute sessions, continuous mid-week text/voice support, and full app access.
The Deep Dive Container ($200/week): For acute support, deep trauma processing, or major life transitions. Includes weekly 60-minute sessions, priority mid-week text/voice support, and full app access.
3. The Transition
Once the structure that best fits you is chosen, I handle the logistics so you can fully lean into the healing work:
Locking Your Spot: We secure a permanent recurring day and time in my calendar. No rushing to book online slots; your momentum is entirely protected.
Activating Your Toolbox: You get instant access to my private resource app, packed with custom somatic grounding tools and maps tailored to your blueprint.
Set-and-Forget Billing: Weekly payments run automatically via GoCardless, (to avoid those pesky credit card fees). We never waste energy or break the therapeutic energy handling money at the end of a deep session.
4. Continuous Care & Maintenance
Healing happens out in the world, not just on the therapy couch. During our 60-minute sessions, we do the heavy lifting. In the spaces between, you have direct access to me via WhatsApp.
If a pattern spikes or life gets overwhelming, you send a voice note, and I help you track and regulate it right then and there.
5. Maintenance Pathway
Once your system has beautifully integrated these shifts and you feel ready to fly solo, we smoothly transition you out of the container and onto our ad-hoc Maintenance Pathway for casual, flexible check-ins whenever you need them.
Containers run on an initial 3-month commitment to give your biology the runway it needs to build a permanent baseline of safety. Once your system has beautifully integrated these shifts, we transition you onto our ad-hoc Maintenance Pathway ($220 per casual session) for flexible, casual check-ins whenever you need a tune-up & ongoing access to the app for $29 a month, if you wish to continue with your at home practice.
I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about coming home to yourself, understanding your story, and creating a life that feels safe, grounded, and aligned with who you are.

Every session is shaped around your unique needs. We’ll start by gently exploring what’s been going on for you and what you’d like to work toward. From there, I use a mix of talk therapy and somatic approaches to support your nervous system, process emotions, and build clarity and resilience. Your comfort and progress matter most.

Somatic therapy can be a great fit if you’re looking for a more holistic way to heal—especially if talk therapy alone hasn’t felt quite right. It’s particularly helpful if you’re navigating trauma, stress, or anxiety. I combine emotional processing with body-based awareness to support deeper, more lasting healing.
